Exhibit B

The original dust jacket to Cap Shaw's The Hard-Boiled Omnibus.

Edited by "Cap" Joseph T. Shaw, the most influential helmsman Black Mask ever had, this 1946 volume, published by Simon & Shuster, was the the first major anthology to ever really attempt to cover the hard-boiled genre. It collected a dozen classic pulp stories from Black Mask, from such talented writers as Lester Dent, Ramon Decolta, Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, Raoul Whitfield, Norbert Davis, Paul Cain, Roger Torrey, and George Harmon Coxe.

But whatever happened to Reuben Jennings Shay?(And check out the inscription by Cap Shaw himself!)
